I grew up on the East Coast until heading west for college in the early 70s. I moved to Alaska in 1975, and later graduated from the University of Alaska, Fairbanks with a degree in photojournalism. For a number of years my interest in photography centered on working in black and white with a large-format, 4×5, camera. Recently, I have been working in color and with a digital camera.
