Cloudscapes of a Lake Superior Storm

On the way back from a backpacking trip to Isle Royale National Park a storm came up. The view from the back of the ferry, taking us to Grand Portage was spectacular. It was rough ride with the boat rocking 2 to 3 three feet from side to side. The contrast ratio was amazing with very bright and very dark clouds painting the sky in all the shades of grey. It is said that every black cloud has a silver lining but these bright white clouds had black edges which is what attracted my attention.
